He’s walking to all the four corners of the U.S., but he’s not doing it to raise money or awareness. He’s just enjoying the view.WTOP caught up with Matt Dyer in Haymarket, Virginia, as he continues his long journey across the country.The 29-year-old Army veteran plans to walk to all four corners of the country, starting in his home state of Maine. Currently, he’s headed to Miami, hoping to be in the Sunshine State by Christmas.Then, Dyer will head west to San Diego, and then north to Seattle.While he said others before him have made similar journeys cross-country, to his knowledge, he’s the first person to hit all four corners.“I’m going to walk across Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas,” Dyer said. “I want to do something no one’s done before.”On his trek, Dyer has encountered problems like where to fill up his water bottle and where to sleep. Miami-Dade Police officers and fire rescue crews responded to a neighborhood in Northwest Miami-Dade after a person was found dead following reports of a possible electrocution. At approximately 5:43 a.m. on Thursday, units rushed to 830 NW 73rd St. after calls were received about an electrocution in the area. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue teams were called to the scene and tragically pronounced the victim deceased on-site. According to the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) the victim, a man in his 60s, and another employee were en route to work when a transformer malfunctioned, causing an electrical wire to detach and fatally strike the victim. The incident created a loud boom, drawing immediate attention from the community.As a result of this incident, the power went out temporarily in the vicinity. ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (WSVN) — A 25-year-old man shared his experience of being lost at sea for more than a day after a violent wave swept his small boat away. Charlie Gregory, who was fishing off the coast of St. Augustine, recounted the terrifying moments and the remarkable water rescue that ultimately saved his life.“I knew I was going to die; it was a matter of when,” said Charlie in an exclusive interview with Inside Edition.Charlie embarked on his fishing trip at 3 a.m. on a routine outing. “I went out to the same spot I always go fish, just right inside of the jetties,” Charlie explained, describing the initial moments of his ordeal.
