As the summer vacation season approaches, many Californians and out-of-state visitors will plan trips to the state's most popular theme parks.A new study from Home to Go, a vacation rental company, ranked the “best” theme parks across the state based on multiple factors, including affordability and the number of rides and attractions offered by each park.The study was divided into three sections: Top Theme Parks, ranked by price; Best Amusement Parks, based on the number of attractions; and Top Theme Parks in California overall. Two Women Pronounced Dead after Suspected DUI Accident near Highway 41FRESNO, CA (May 24, 2023) – Early Monday morning, Brianna Britten and Kathy Esqueda were killed in a hit-and-run crash on Ashlan Avenue.The incident happened around 1:00 a.m., near Highway 41 along Ashlan Avenue and Highway 41 on April 24th.According to reports, officials tried to pull over a driver. However, the driver failed to stop and proceeded to drive before crashing into a tent with sleeping occupants.Paramedics arrived and rushed the victims to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. There, one of the women, 30-year-old Britten, succumbed to her injuries. A few days later, the second woman, 61-year-old Esqueda, also died at the hospital from her injuries.Police officials said the suspect, 39-year-old Erica Jones, tried to flee from the scene but was later found and charged with felony DUI and murder. Man, Woman Dead after Vehicle Hit on Martin Luther King Jr. BoulevardLOS ANGELES, CA (May 24, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, Elmer Santos ended up killing two people after crashing into their vehicle.It happened in the 3998 block of South Normandie Avenue near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, at around 12:30 a.m., May 21st.According to LAFD spokesperson Brian Humphrey, a white Jeep Wrangler Rubicon driven by 31-year-old Santos and a white BMW occupied by 20-year-old Maria Belen Polanco and Kevin Castillo were the vehicles involved in the incident.Upon investigation, the officers learned that the BMW was about to exit at the drive-thru of a Burger Factory when Santos, traveling at high speed, struck them.Furthermore, deputies responded to the scene and tried to extricate Castillo and Polanco but they were unsuccessful.In addition, the officers said that the impact instantly killed Castillo and Polanco.Meanwhile, the officers found liquor in Santos’ veh...Convicted murderer Murdaugh indicted on 22 federal counts

OAKLAND — A city resident has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the recent shooting death of a 27-year-old Antioch man, court records show.Danery Quinonez-Vasquez, 27, was charged Wednesday with a single count, murder, in the May 6 shooting death of Mitchell Monroe. Quinonez-Vasquez was arrested Tuesday at his Oakland home and is being held in Santa Rita Jail in Dublin without bail, records show.Monroe, a father of two girls aged 6 and 1, was shot and killed shortly before 4 a.m. near the Interstate 580 Keller Avenue exit.
