Fort Snelling State Park to reopen Monday Fort Snelling State Park will reopen Monday after being closed due to flooding from the Mississippi River.However, some areas remain closed due to continued high water conditions, ongoing cleanups, and trail maintenance, according to the state Department of Natural Resources.Furthermore, some construction projects scheduled for later this spring and summer also require closing some areas. Visitors are encouraged to check visitor alerts on the park webpage of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources’ website at mndnr.gov/fortsnelling to learn what to expect.Those visiting will need a state park vehicle permit to enter the park. Vehicle permits can be purchased online or in person at the park when the park office is staffed. Suspect convicted by jury after failing to appear in court AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An arrest warrant has been issued for Derek Carella after a jury convicted him on charges of Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree. Carella was charged with a complaint filed by Dollar General on Guy Park Avenue. Carella allegedly stole multiple items from the store. Officers from the Amsterdam Police Department were able to secure video footage and statements. In a separate incident, Carella was apprehended at a traffic stop and was found to possess drug paraphernalia.Carella has a prior criminal history including a Burglary conviction and 11 prior misdemeanor convictions. He faces up to two consecutive years in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

Suspect in fatal animal cruelty case pleads not guilty ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On Thursday, Philip Domingo, 39, of Rotterdam, pleaded not guilty to three charges in a fatal animal cruelty case. Domingo faces charges of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals and two counts of Overdriving, Torturing, and Injuring Animals; Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance. According to the indictment, Domingo allegedly killed a dog with no justifiable purpose on or around November 6, 2022. The incident took place at an address on Lowell Street. The issue is no different for officers who serve the City of St. Louis.According to new numbers compiled by FOX 2's Mitch McCoy, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is currently around 20% understaffed. At full strength, the department would employ 1,224 commissioned officers. SLMPD is currently down 254 officers, staffing less than 1,000 officers as of Thursday. Video: Burglars use truck to smash through Burbank storefront, steal $70K worth of merch Police are searching for at least 10 people who were caught on video plowing a truck into a high-end store in Burbank and stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. Thursday at Magnolia Park, located at 3500 Magnolia Blvd.The suspects used a pickup truck to ram into the front of the store, video shared with KTLA showed.Before that, they almost took down a tree and moved a giant concrete bench while attempting to drive into the store in reverse.
