The future of cannabis may be canned (and bottled) as a Canadian company has agreed to purchase several craft beer brands from Budweiser's parent company, with the company's CEO indicating that they plan to create marijuana-infused beverages.Tilray Brands, based in Leamington, Ontario, is acquiring eight popular brands including Shock Top, Redhook Brewery and HiBall Energy for $85 million. The deal includes "breweries and brewpubs associated with these brands, as well as current employees," the Wall Street Journal reports. From an alcohol perspective, the move makes Tilray a larger player in the craft beer market, but it also could open doors for cannabis in the future. The family of a man who was killed when his vehicle was set ablaze in South Los Angeles over the weekend is asking for the community’s help in solving the case.The incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of East 102nd Street in the Green Meadows neighborhood of South Los Angeles.Authorities believe a person walked up to the victim’s car as he was sleeping and threw a flammable liquid inside before intentionally starting a fire.Video from the scene showed the car completely engulfed in flames. Only charred metal fragments remained once firefighters put out the blaze.Clay Buchanan was found suffering from burn wounds near a vehicle. Three Dead after Two Fire-Fighting Helicopters Collided in Mid-AirCABAZON, CA (August 8, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, a helicopter crash claimed the lives of Josh Bischof, Tim Rodriguez, and Tony Sousa.The crash occurred on August 6th, just before 7:00 p.m., in mid-air and the wreckage landed near the intersection of Main Street and Broadway Street.According to reports, six aircraft were in the area fighting a structure and vegetation fire. While in the air, two of those helicopters, a Sikorsky S-64E and a Bell 407 collided.The Sikorsky S-64E was able to safely land nearby, but the Bell 407 crashed with three occupants inside.Officials declared all three occupants dead at the scene.
